Beach...Part IV

On Wednesday morning we went for an early morning walk.  We saw LOTS of dolphins feeding on fish.  It was quiet and so peaceful.  Being beside the ocean never gets old.

One of the dolphins!  We saw them everyday and even a baby with his mommy.

Ramsey caught a little flounder fish in his net.  Flounders are so strange to me with the two eyes on one side of its body.  Do you see the two eyes?

We rented an ocean kayak for the boys to play around in.  It is actually a workout for us while they get to ride.

James giving his daddy and brothers a wave.

It's my turn!  Please fishing boat don't run us over!

Flying our squid kite.

Come on Bop!  Don't let it flip!

Corey and I went to a great restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach.  It's The Vue on 30A.  It was our first time there and we really enjoyed it!

This was Corey ordered.  He said it was the best fish he has ever eaten.  Only the bones were left when he was finished.  I had a wonderful steak.  It was a special cut of meat...I can't remember what they called it.  It was served with mashed potatoes, truffle sauce and vegetables.

Crab hunting at night after a long day!  This is one of the boys favorite things to do at the beach.

Beach...Part III

Another day on the beach...I didn't take as many pictures on this day...guess I was too busy with my crew!  A popsicle on the beach?  Yes!
James wanted someone to play baseball with him the whole time.  Ramsey and Bop have lots of patience with little James.  They teach, he listens (sometimes :)).

We had more waves on Tuesday but not very big ones.  Beautiful!

Our set up.  I actually put my cover up on when I sat under the shade because I would get a little chilly.  I love going in May!  80 degrees, the kids aren't hot, just really pleasant!

Because of the Naval base in Pensacola, we always get to see cool aircraft.  This helicoptor liked to show out and "get low".  I THINK this is a Black Hawk helicopter.  That's what my experience is telling me. ;)

Bop and the boys went on a hunt for the little ball Ramsey is holding.  It's a wave ball.  They saw someone else playing with one and it looked like fun.  Even though it's called a wave ball, it is more fun to play on calm water.  It bounces on top of the water like a skipping stone and it floats.  I need to find that ball and take it to the lake!

Love Dad!  The boys have no idea.  They are too cool!

Later that night, Bop and Berry went out to eat alone.  I took some pictures of the boys on the beach that I MAY use for our Christmas card, but I don't know.  Then we headed to Camille's.  Ramsey and John love good food.  Really good food.  The kids' meal days are behind them.  At Camille's the server told us about the specials.  He rattled off one special of cobia with lobster on top with a truffle sauce served on pasta.  Ramsey said, "I think I'll have that."  Yes, the $35 special for Ramsey and he ate it all!

Beach...Part II

Look at that water!  It was so calm!  I have never seen it that calm.  No waves at all!  It was a lot of fun to play and explore in.  In the picture above, John is carrying a Dr. Pepper that he went and got from the house by himself.  He thought he was being so sneaky!

Having a sandwich in the sand!

 Bop and James practicing baseball.

Ramsey on the prowl.  He can spot anything!

They (Corey and Bop) always dig holes in the sand for the boys to play in.
 Hard at it!

That night we just drove down the road to a restaurant on the beach.  The boys love this playground in the sand.  James had such a big day!  He was already passed out in Corey's arms.

 James slept through dinner.

John and his spicy shrimp appetizer.
