Migrating to Mexico

The 1st graders migrated from Canada to Mexico as Monarch butterflies last Thursday.  They had been learning all about Monarchs in Science class.  Reaching their final destination of Mexico was the grand finale of their Monarch study.  The route to Mexico was a long one!  They went into every classroom in the Lower school carrying signs that said, "Mexico or Bust!", "Gone to Mexico", or "From Canada to Mexico".
On his way to Mexico!

What a beautiful Monarch Ramsey was!  After they made it to Mexico, they got to enjoy snacks out on the patio.  It was a beautiful day in Mexico!

Love this idea! I think I might have seen one at the football game Saturday. I thought seeing an orange butterfly in the stadium was a good omen for us.....then I realized OSU's colors are orange and black. The omen was obviously theirs. ha!ha!ha!
