The First Graders had a field trip to the zoo last week. They arrived at the zoo around 9:00, ate a picnic lunch at 11:00, had more zoo time and then left the zoo around 12:30. It was perfect weather for a Fall zoo trip!
I met up with Ramsey just as they were starting lunch. His request for his sack lunch was a bacon, lettuce, tomato and sprouts sandwich. I got up early that morning and cooked bacon for his sandwich. He eats the school lunch everyday so I never get to pack him a lunch. It was kind of nice to prepare one for him that day!
Ramsey showing me the penguins. He had seen the exhibit, but I had not. It was really neat!
What a crew!
These five boys are a mess!
That day was so crazy for me! We left the house at 7:15 am. I took Ramsey to school, Corey to work (his car was getting scheduled maintenance), and then John to school. James and I then RAN to a doctor's appointment at 9:00 which lasted a lot longer than I hoped! I HAD to be at the zoo to eat lunch with Ramsey! I had promised! After the doctor's appointment, I dropped James off at my friend Jamie's house. She was so sweet to keep him at the last minute! Then I RAN to the zoo to play with Ramsey and got there right on time. He was sooo happy to see me! After leaving the zoo, I RAN to pick up James and get him out of Jamie's hair! Then it was time to pick up John from school. After running an errand or two, we picked Ramsey up and then swung by and picked Corey up at his office. We dropped him off at the dealership for him to pick his car up. We made it home in time to eat a bite and then go to Ramsey's cub scout meeting. Then back home for homework and bedtime routine! It was a packed day, but no different from any other day really!

I love that Ramsey is quite the gourmet! The sprouts were the perfect addition. Oh my what a day! How lucky those boys are to have such a great Mom.
What a day! It was fun to have James. I did not have the heart to tell my kids he had been there--they love playing with him! They honestly asked me a few days after that when he could come over again and I just said, "soon!". With holiday parties coming up, maybe he can visit us again when you have stuff with R and J!? Ramsey is looking so grown up these days--sweet pictures from the zoo.
