John Edward

My John. He has been such a joy lately. He remains so gracious as Ramsey is getting to enjoy things that 7 year olds can while 5 year olds still can't. He tags along and smiles in the background. He is my little helper when it comes to James and entertains him when I need him to.  Then he waits patiently as I tend to a demanding 2 year old.  So what about John? He is cute, he is funny, he is smart!  He has typical 5 year old energy.  When he feels like slowing down, he loves playing with Legos.  He takes pride in his school work, can ride a bike, likes to listen to music on his Ipod, gets so excited when Daddy gets home, loves to Facetime Aunt JJ even at 7:30 in the morning, he's rambunctious, loves to be read to, good at building with Legos, has beautiful skin, he's outgoing, loves to feel needed, likes to cook with me, organizes my grocery cart and by far the easiest to take to the grocery store (he doesn't ask for anything), wants to play soccer and baseball this Spring, loves to play with his friends, can eat extremely spicy food and loves it, he loves art and projects, I think he has good fine motor skills, he's a fun child!

Name: John Edward Jennings
Favorite thing to do: Play with Pirates of the Carribean Lego Ship
Favorite thing about yourself: That I love my family
favorite color: blue
favorite food: whole wheat pasta, oatmeal, hot sauce.
favorite clothes: Boden lined red cargo pants
favorite song: shot through the heart (Bon Jovi)

John answered those questions quickly for me!  Sweet boy!
This was us on our way to church on Sunday.  He needs his bangs cut, but isn't he cute?
In the picture he wanted us to pose.  Specifically he wanted Corey to get a picture of his feet crossed like that.
John got this Black Pearl Pirates of the Caribbean Lego ship from Santa.  One day over Christmas break, we put it together.  It took us four solid hours.  He loved doing it!  Honestly it was a little therapeutic for me!

Where's the snow?  Here John is modeling his new snow gear!  Last year I didn't think we were very prepared for all the snow we got.  They had warm coats but not great pants to wear sledding.  This year we were going to be prepared.  Mom and Dad got the boys snow bibs from Lands End and I got them all new hats and gloves and boots.  And of course we haven't seen one snowflake!  I'm not a huge fan of cold weather at all but it is nice to get one or two snows a year.  If not this year, the snow bibs can wait...we ordered them a little big, the shoulders are obviously adjustable, and there is a little red string inside that you can cut and it makes them two inches longer!  Clever!  They will also make great hand-me-downs!  I guess we just need to go snow skiing...that will put them to use!  Looking at the Christmas Tree behind him...it looks like some ornaments had been adjusted by that demanding two year old...AGAIN!

I love you, John!  Thank you for being you!
